The South African office was opened June 1958 in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
The Association of Mouth and Foot Painters (Pty) Ltd is not a charity. Marketing of products are done by the administrative office in George in the Western Cape only. No fund raising actions or door-to-door sales on behalf of the mouth and foot painters are ever undertaken.
Although the Association has copyright on all artists’ works, original paintings remain the property of the individuals. From time to time artists stage one-man or group exhibitions where they sell their paintings at prices set by themselves.
Finances of the Association are derived solely from the sales of products. Salaries to members and scholarships to students are paid out from this income, as well as necessary administrative costs like salaries, manufacturing, mailing, taxes and rental.
The Association of Mouth & Foot Painters adopts a neutral attitude in all religious, ideological, racial or political matters. Preferential or discriminatory treatment in relation to religious, ideological, racial or political position of a member is thus excluded. The Association is a world wide organization and consists of all races. Entry into the Association is given to an applicant by his artistic talent - not by colour. There are artists of all races and creeds in the Association.
We have 34 South African artists participating in the Association of Mouth and Foot Painters at the moment (2016).
